I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by old books, antique furniture, architectural drawings and old toys, I developed an early fascination with history, craftsmanship, ornament, colour and detail. Art and design were deeply woven into my family life; my grandfather was a Viennese architect, and this early visual world continues to shape the way I see and create.
After studying at a secondary art school, I completed a BA in Theatre Set Design and an MA in Production Design in Prague. During my studies, I spent six months in Helsinki on an Erasmus exchange programme, working alongside students from Central Saint Martins in London.
My work spans graphic design, illustration and scenic artwork, with a particular interest in historical design, decorative arts and the visual language of different eras. I create wallpapers, murals, tapestries, period documents, posters, maps, hand-drawn calligraphy and digital scenic artwork, combining research and craftsmanship to create work that feels authentic to its time and place.
With a background in production design, I approach each project as part of a larger visual world. I am fascinated by how patterns, ornament, colour and carefully considered details can establish a sense of place, tell a story and give an object its character.
Over the years, I have collaborated with distinguished production designers, including Guy Hendrix Dyas, Sonja Klaus and Mara LePere-Schloop, working across British and European period productions. Combining traditional and digital techniques, I take projects from initial design and illustration through to final execution, collaborating internationally with creative teams and clients.
